The first HARIBIOT EXAM in KOREA held. |
Gosen Haribito Seminar and License Test was held at Haksan Limited in Busan July 26th 2010.
Haribito means a stringer in Japanese. Haribito is including a meaning of
master craftsman which strings carefully and exquisitely with heart and soul,
and renderer who gives the excellent skill.
James Kim of Haksan Limited who hosted this event said “The hardware is well organized but the software is much insufficient in Korea. Though the string M/C, Racket and String is good enough, it is useless if stringers don’t have the enough skill which can organize these good hardware. Haksan held this seminar and test to organize this system and create new trend of Tennis.”
Mr.Kaoru Sakai, the vice president of Gosen said “The level of Haribito is still a toddler in Korea. We hope the excellent Haribitos are nurtured through this seminar in Korea.”
There were a lesson of Mr.Kosuke Matsumoto who is Japan’s world famous stringer, demonstration of cutting string, management of M/C, tension checking, setting of main string, adjustment of clamp and cross stringing by Mr.T.K.Lee who is the 1st Meister Licensee in the morning.
In the afternoon, the written examination and the skill test was done. The applicant seemed tensed for the unfamiliar Gosen method though they had an enough stringing experience of decades.
After finishing the test, Mr.Matsumoto mentioned “You made efforts to have the test.
This is not the end but this is the new start. If you want to be a pro-stringer, you have to bear the responsibility. Though you couldn’t pass the exam, please don’t give up and keep striving.”
Meanwhile, the attendee, Mr.Byun(Green sports) said “ I took the opportunity of this test through last year’s seminar. The string patterns are improving and Gosen pattern is accepted by the tour players. I am incharge of the stringing for the male players of Yongin city Tennis team and I get good feed back of Gosen pattern from them. We will organize Haribito Team with Mr.T.K.Lee as a center and settle down Gosen pattern in Korea.”.
String is one of the most important weapon and if this is misused, the player can not show his full skill.
It is worth while to be welcomed that Gosen pattern who is the leading stringing system where the scientific analysis is needed, started the first step in Korean tennis society.
There was a news that 10 applicants were passed the test through Mr.Matsumoto and Mr. T.K.Lee.
We are very proud to have new 10 "HARIBITO".
